This self-build was designed to fit into the Somerset landscape taking in the uninterrupted Quantock views and the local golf club. Sitting in 0.4 acre this amazing 420m2 family home over 3 floors was sustainably designed to include airtight to near passive standards, solar, Air Source Heat Pump, MVHR and battery storage. Deigned in locally sourced Blue Lias stone the development sought to reduce environmental impact. Solar shading was included to keep this bespoke home cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The external landscape design included a swale, rain garden and several wildlife features to mitigate water retention and encourage wildlife habitats. Future proofing included designing an annex over the double garage/workshop for multi-generational living or rental. The in room principal ensuite even included views from the bath, home cinema room, outside kitchen and rear veranda. A truly amazing family home. This plot was sold off plan.
